Numerous scientists have published research concluding that this radiation causes cancer and other health issues in humans.



Despite the widespread use of wireless earbuds the effects of these devices aren't fully known. While low-level radiation isn't harmful, exposure to ionizing radiation could cause neurological disorders and DNA damage. Bluetooth headphones and radios emit this radiation. These products have been classified as a danger by the World Health Organization, and scientists have urged governments for stronger regulations.



More than 200 scientists wrote an open letter to United Nations and World Health Organisation in 2015, expressing concern about wireless earbuds. The scientists did not specifically address AirPods however they called for more stringent regulatory standards and guidelines. They also demanded better information for the general public and medical professionals about the potential health risks associated with these devices. They also urged governments to fund research into the effects of electromagnetic energy.
